Research interests/thesis topic

I work on the development of polymeric materials materials for gene delivery.  My research involves synthesizing novel polymers and developing conjugation strategies with modified oligonucleotides to develop new nucleic acid delivery systems.

Previous work

During my MSc I worked on synthesis and characterization of polymeric composites as smart wound dressings with controlled drug release and in my BSc, I worked on porous metal composites and their energy absorption as a potential construction material.

Selected awards and scholarships

  • Concordia university graduate fellowship (2018)
  • Nano Scholarship, Iran Nanotechnology initiative council (2015)
