Mehmet Ozsoy is an assistant professor in the Department of Finance at the John Molson School of Business. He holds a PhD from Duke University and was a visiting scholar at the Ross School of Business, University of Michigan, during the 2018–2019 academic year.
Ozsoy’s research focuses on financial economics, climate finance and financial regulation. His work on correlation asymmetry received the Best Paper Award at the FMA European Conference in 2014. His research on liquidity risk regulation was cited by Janet Yellen, then Chair of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System, in her remarks at the 2017 Jackson Hole Economic Symposium.
With a strong interest in the interaction between financial markets and macroeconomics, he has extensive consulting and executive education experience in areas including macroeconomics, international finance, Web3 economics, pension funds and fund management.
