As part of the Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) for Udemy, Concordia documented that faculty, staff and students who log in to and use the Udemy platform will share their first name, last name, and email address with Udemy.

In order to provide the required services and improve user experience, Udemy also collects other information such as IP address, location, device operating system, unique device ID, domain, browser, and browser language. In addition, user activity on the Udemy platform is also collected.

Udemy’s data centres are located outside of Canada and all data collected and stored on behalf of Concordia university will be deleted upon request.
