Students with disabilities

- Among Concordia students, 17% report having a disability or impairment.
- For the vast majority, the disability or impairment is invisible (95%), while a lower proportion (13%) report a physical disability or impairment.
- Concordia presents a lower proportion of students with a disability or impairment compared to Canadian universities (proportions varying from 27% to 40 %).
- Students who identify as a member of a gender-diverse community (55%) or 2SLGBTQIA+ communities more broadly (37%), and caregivers (24%), are more likely to report a disability or impairment. The same is true for undergraduate students (19%), part-time students (25%), and/or those in interdisciplinary studies (33%), the Faculty of Fine Arts (31%), or the Faculty of Arts and Science (22%).
