Academic profile
Just over 40% of the respondents attended a Collège d'enseignement général et professionnel (CEGEP) in Quebec prior to admission to Concordia and about 30% attended another university or a college.
Students who are immigrants to Canada, refugees and those with temporary resident status are more likely to have attended another university or college (37% to 56%) or a high school outside Canada and the United States (18% to 34%) before their admission to Concordia University.

Level of parent or legal guardian education
About 60% students have one parent or legal guardian with a university diploma and nearly 50% for both parents and/or legal guardians. Theses proportions are statistically higher than the previous census exercise (50% of students had at least one parent or legal guardian with a university diploma in 2022).
Indigenous students, caregivers, people who finance their studies through loans, and those aged 55 or older more frequently indicate that their parents did not finish high school (proportions vary from 11% to 25%).
