Changes at Hospitality Concordia

Concordia's event planning team introduces internal pricing updates and new planning support model

As part of ongoing service adjustments, Hospitality Concordia is updating its internal venue pricing and launching a new model for event planning support, both taking effect in the 2025–26 budget year.

Venue pricing changes - effective May 1, 2025

As of May 1, a new flat-rate fee per 4-hour block will now be applied to internal bookings at the following event locations:

These changes are intended to clarify costs. Most other bookable spaces on campus, including classrooms, atriums, and the Loyola Jesuit Hall and Conference Centre, will continue to be available free of charge for internal use.

The new rates apply to:

  • Bookings made on or after May 1, 2025
  • Bookings made before May 1, 2025, but not yet quoted

However, events scheduled between May 1 and August 31, 2025 that already received a quote based on 2024–25 rates, will still be honoured at the original rate.

New complimentary event planning support – launching September 2025

To provide more consistent and accessible planning support for the internal community, Hospitality Concordia will be offering a new no-cost event consultation service starting in September 2025. 

The Hospitality Concordia Team will work with you to:

  • Clarify your event goals

  • Define event scope and timelines 

  • Explore venue options and availability

  • Navigate university policies, procedures, and forms

  • Build a personalized planning roadmap 

  • Identify the level of support you need

This service is designed to support a wide range of events across the university. Rest assured, full-service planning for large or complex events, such as conferences or case competitions, will still be available and billed separately, as needed.

Updated online resources now available

Hospitality Concordia’s webpages have also been refreshed to provide clearer, easier-to-navigate information on venues, services, and support options for internal users.
