To the occupants and users of the Hall Bldg.,

We are going to proceed with a series of five consecutive nights where regular power will be interrupted in the Hall building between 11:30 p.m. and 6 a.m. for maintenance work on the main electrical switchgear. This will affect the whole building but the emergency power will remain functional. The building being closed during those hours minimizes the impact and support staff will still be able to perform their usual night tasks. However, in cases where they usually use regular powered equipment, they will need to find another source of power that is serviced by the generator. Other building users should not have access to the building.

The dates identified for those interventions are Monday October 26 through the 30th (power returned on Saturday 6 a.m. following the Friday shutdown).

Main building systems will be functional (elevators, HVAC, Fire alarm…) but users with equipment on regular power needing to remain active would need to identify those unit so that we can temporarily switch them to another power source.

We regret any inconvenience this may cause you.
