Bernard Lucht invested into Order of Canada

Concordia alumnus and former CBC Ideas producer receives country’s highest distinction

Concordia alumnus and long-time producer of CBC One’s Ideas Bernard Lucht, BA (Political Science) 66, is now a Member of the Order of Canada.

Lucht’s investiture took place at Ottawa's Rideau Hall on December 13, 2013.

“To be in the company of so many accomplished Canadians was a truly humbling experience,” he said.
    
The Concordian was recognized for “radio documentaries that have sparked discussions in many Canadian households.”

Additional to his career in radio, Lucht was  the Irving Chair in Journalism at St. Thomas University from 2011 to 2012, and has edited books such as Ideas: Brilliant Thinkers Speak Their Minds (Goose Lane Editions, 2005) and Ideas for a New Century (Goose Lane Editions, 2008).
