The award is presented to a student whose work is in exhibition at the VAV or FOFA student art galleries in exchange for the work.

CUAA prize-committee and board member Eli Chalupovitsch, BComm 75, said he and fellow members Jeff Lawy, BSc 01, MBA 08, and Marshall Johnson, L BA 67, were impressed by the caliber of the students' work and selected Kyler’s piece for the distinctive quality of the images and sound.

Chalupovitsch acknowledged that Kyler recently received the Norman McLaren Award, Concordia’s highest animation honour, and jokingly asked Kyler to remember the CUAA the day he receives an academy award.

The Ninth Annual Graduating Students Exhibition runs from June 13 to 30. Open to the public, it's a great opportunity to see a collection of works that celebrate the accomplishments of Concordia’s Fine Arts graduating classes.
