Concordia part-time lecturer named Auxiliary Bishop

Alumnus (BComm ‘92) Fr. Thomas Dowd has been named Auxiliary Bishop of the Catholic Archdiocese of Montreal. He is a part-time lecturer in the Department of Theological Studies. The nomination was announced July 11.
 
He is the fifth English-speaking auxiliary bishop of Montreal and at 40-years-old, Bishop-elect Dowd is the youngest bishop in Canada.

His date of ordination to the episcopate has not yet been set.
