For the 21st time, Concordia's John Molson School of Business (JMSB) bestowed Awards of Distinction to esteemed alumni.

More than 250 attendees gathered in the MB Building’s BMO Amphitheatre November 9 to honour Randall W. Kelly and Anna Martini.

Kelly, who currently serves as President of Montreal-based investment firm Formula Growth Ltd., graduated with a bachelor’s in commerce in 1978. Kelly also serves on the Client Committee for the Kenneth Woods Portfolio Management Program.

Martini, President of fashion brand management company Groupe Dynamite Inc., graduated with a bachelor’s in commerce in 1985 and a graduate diploma in accountancy in 1986.

“Through their extraordinary careers following their studies here, both these alumni have exemplified the excellence and public service we strive to instill in every one of our graduates,” said Cornelia Molson, Senior Associate, Special Projects for the JMSB. Awardees are gauged upon four criteria: notable business accomplishment, affiliation or service to Concordia, community service, and lifetime professional achievement.

The awards committee is composed of representatives from JMSB administration, three full-time Faculty members, one undergraduate student, one graduate student and one alumni representative.

“This was our first Awards of Distinction in our own building and it could not have been better,” says Molson. Earlier this month the Faculty held a gala celebrating the 10th anniversary of the JMSB. Organizers called it an overwhelming success.
