Concordia University Student Parent Centre seeks information to improve services

The Concordia University Student Parent Centre (CUSP), which opened in 2009, offers services and support to students who have the additional role of parenting. To better understand what services are needed, a survey has been emailed to a random selection of 5,000 students.

Student parents can be new students, continuing education students, international students, male or female, single or married, and can fall into any age group. By understanding the needs of this diverse population, CUSP can fine-tune its services to better serve all student parents.

Those who were randomly selected to complete the survey are encouraged to do so. The higher the response rate, the more reliable the resulting information will be.

As an incentive, three gift cards from the Bookstore will be raffled off to respondents – one is worth $50, while two are worth $25.

The survey is one facet of a larger study undertaken by CUSP that includes focus groups to better understand the nuances of the student parent experience.

For more information on CUSP, please visit their website or centre. CUSP is open weekdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 2150 Bishop St., Room 200.
