Ollivier Dyens has been named a member of the Conseil supérieur de l'éducation of Quebec for a mandate that extends until 2014.

Dyens, who is Concordia Vice-Provost, Teaching and Learning, is one of seven new members named to the Conseil supérieur de l'éducation of Quebec. An independent body, the Conseil prepares critical analyses, briefs and reports on the state of education to the Quebec Ministère de l'Éducation, du Loisir et du Sport.

Professor Dyens also teaches at the Concordia Département d’Études françaises. He is an award-winning author, an expert in cyberculture and his digital artwork has been shown around the world.

From October 27 to December 5, Dyens will be part of the fourth President’s Conference Series, Montreal: On the Stream of Languages, at the Bibliothèque et Archives nationales du Québec (475 De Maisonneuve Blvd. E.). Along with several Concordia collaborators, he will exhibit provocative and interactive multimedia installations.
