Members of the David O'Brien Centre for Sustainable Enterprise, part of Concordia’s John Molson School of Business, have organized a guided tour of the Mount Royal on Sunday, October 10.

Work up a sweat and learn more about Montreal's mountain and the important role it plays in the fight against climate change. Events of this nature are being organized in 183 nations as part of the largest, carbon-cutting day on the planet: 350.org.

Founded by American environmentalist Bill McKibben, 350.org is an international campaign to build a global climate movement. Its goal is to reduce carbon dioxide in our atmosphere from its current level of 390 parts per million to below 350 ppm – a safe upper limit according to the latest science.

As for the October 10 walk in Montreal, kids are welcome to take part and participants will meet at 10 a.m. in the lobby of the John Molson School of Business Building (1450 Guy St.). Space is limited to 30 people, so please RSVP at sustainable@jmsb.concordia.ca.
