Bibliothèque et Archives nationales du Québec has announced its fall programming. Concordia University will be participating through a series of events called Montréal is the world: The city through the eyes of Concordia, taking place at the Grande Bibliothèque.

Sherry Simon, translator and professor in the Études françaises department, will kick off the series with a lecture on the rich culture and fertile linguistic character of the city entitled Le glot des langues, la grace des cultures.  Following this, people will be invited to join the public dialogue during two University of the Streets cafés (November 3 and 25).  December 1, authors from Concordia, including Marc-André Brouillette, Jason Camlot and André Roy will present a poetic multilingual performance. Une pluie de mots, de langues, de silences will draw a multi-media portrait of the human experience in the twenty first century.
