New graduation cycle offers earlier degree conferral

If you're completing your studies at Concordia, there's good news: the University is introducing a third graduation cycle. If you finish your degree requirements in the fall term, you will no longer have to wait until May to officially graduate. 

Under the new process:

• If you complete your studies in the fall term, you will have your degree conferred in February. 
• Students who complete their studies in the winter term will continue to graduate in May. 
• Students who complete their studies in the summer term will continue to graduate in October.  

Important: graduation and convocation are not the same thing. Graduation is when your degree is officially conferred. Convocation is the ceremony where we celebrate your achievement.
