  • Journal Métro runs another in a 12-part series of articles highlighting various neighbourhoods of Montreal. The new installment, featuring the neighbourhood of Saint-Henri, in the city's south-west sector, is written by Steven High, professor in the Department of History, Jean-Philippe Warren, associate professor in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology and history doctoral student Fred Burrill, all within the Faculty of Arts and Science.
  • Messaggero Marittimo (in Italian) joins media coverage of new research into bilingualism in infants, co-authored by Krista Byers-Heinlein, associate professor in the Department of Psychology in the Faculty of Arts and Science, Elizabeth Morin-Lessard, PhD student in the same department, and Princeton University researchers. The study, published in Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, concludes that children younger than two who grow up bilingual are able to sort out two languages simply by listening.
  • Ideas, the official blog of the Federation for the Humanities and Social Sciences, writes about the Salons online magazine, which makes available research and other scholarly articles to members of the general public. It mentions that Jean-Philippe Warren, associate professor in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology in the Faculty of Arts and Science, is a co-leader of the Salons project.
