Cool roof time machine. Yee Clun's lost story. "Black English".

• AMEQ en ligne (behind a paywall) and The Suburban join coverage of Concordia research led by Hashem Akbari, professor in the Department of Building, Civil and Environmental Engineering. Akbari and his team created a “cool roof time machine” that takes just three days to replicate three years worth of aging of roofing materials.
• CBC.ca (reprised by Parkland Online) and Radio-Canada.ca in Saskatchewan, write about a ceremony to honour the memory of Yee Clun, a Regina restauranteur who fought racist laws in the 1920's. They mention that Yee Clun's story is featured in Concordia's Lost Stories Project, led by Ronald Rudin, history professor in the Faculty of Arts and Science and co-director of the Centre for Oral History and Digital Storytelling.
• The Globe and Mail talks to Jacqueline Peters (BA 08, Linguiscitcs, honours), part-time instructor in the Department of Classics, Modern Languages, and Linguistics, about her study of "Black English" in Toronto.
