- BC Local News and The Chilliwack Progress preview the unveiling, tomorrow in Hope, B.C., of a Native commemorative pole as a public art installation. The unveiling is the culmination of work by University of Saskatchewan history professor Keith Carlson on the fate of indigenous children taken from their Sto:lo community in B.C.'s Fraser Canyon by American miners during the mid-nineteenth century. Carlson conducted the research as part of the 'Lost Stories' research project, headed by Ronald Rudin, history professor in the Faculty of Arts and Science and co-director of the Centre for Oral History and Digital Storytelling.
