University affairs
Various issues concerning Concordia University are often reported on by news outlets. Here is the most recent coverage pertaining to the institution:
- An article in El Moudjahid reporting the details of a Google World tribute to Algerian author, the late Assia Djebar, notes that Djebar received an honorary degree from Concordia (June, 2002). The honorary degree is noted also in El Watan, in an article announcing last Friday's screening at Concordia of the 1992 documentary about Djebar's life and work (Assia Djebar entre ombre et soleil). The El Watan article mentions the participation of Françoise Naudillon, associate professor in the Département d’Études françaises in the Faculty of Arts and Science, in a roundtable discussion of the documentary, following the screening.
