Expert commentators
Concordia faculty and researchers are regularly asked to offer expert, informed opinions on many of today's most pressing problems. Read some of the latest news items about Concordians:
- Ian Irvine, professor of economics in the Faculty of Arts and Science, writes an opinion piece in the Montreal Gazette, where he argues for variable pricing of electricity to give electric cars a boost. Irvine proposes a price-break for consumers when they repurpose otherwise-spent electric car lithium ion batteries to store power for other uses.
- Jordan LeBel, associate professor of marketing in the John Molson School of Business, is quoted in an article in Le Devoir about Blue Apron, on the eve of the meal delivery company's introduction to the stock market.
- Matthew Anderson, assistant professor of theological studies in the Faculty of Arts and Science, is quoted extensively in an article in Prairie Messenger about Catholics and Lutherans sharing the same foundations of Christian faith.
- The Westmount Independent reports on a recent talk by Jane McGaughey, assistant professor in the School of Irish Studies, at the Women's Canadian Club of Montreal (WCCM). McGaughey spoke to the WCCM about the Irish contribution to the history of Montreal.
- David McGimpsey, part-time faculty in the Department of English in the Faculty of Arts and Science, co-hosted yesterday's edition of 'Nightside', on CJAD Radio.
