Expert commentators
Concordia faculty and researchers are regularly asked to offer expert, informed opinions on many of today's most pressing problems. Read some of the latest news items about Concordians:
- Graham Dodds, associate professor in the Department of Political Science in the Faculty of Arts and Science, was on City Montreal's Breakfast Television this morning to discuss the latest developments in the Donald Trump White House and later participated in a round-table discussion with other Americans living in Montreal who offered their take on current U.S. affairs (no link available).
- Press Republican, announcing the conference, “Approaches to Teaching Jewish Studies in the 21st Century: Examining Best Practices in Curricular Design”, October 18 and 19 in Plattsburgh, lists Concordia among the universities sending Jewish studies faculty to the conference, hosted by State University of New York, Plattsburgh. The news release is picked up by Public.
- The Hamilton Spectator runs an opinion piece co-authored by Kimberley Manning, principal of the Simone de Beauvoir Institute and associate professor of political science in the Faculty of Arts and Science, and Elizabeth J. Meyer, associate dean of teacher education at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Manning and Meyer write about bullying of transgender youth in schools and urge the Canadian Senate to pass Bill C-16 on transgender rights. The op-ed originally appeared in the Montreal Gazette of June 7.
