• Before It's News updates the controversy that erupted around vaccination campaigns against the human papillomavirus in the wake of the publication of an opinion piece by Geneviève Rail and McGill professor emeritus Abby Lippman. In the op-ed, in the October 5, 2015 edition of Le Devoir, the authors call for a moratorium on the distribution in Quebec of the human papillomavirus vaccine, Gardasil. Rail and Lippman had conducted research they said raised serious concerns about deleterious side effects of the vaccine.
