Students

Current students at Concordia do outstanding academic work and get involved in community projects that improve our quality of life. See what they've been up to:

  • Nadia Naffi, a Concordia Public Scholar and PhD candidate in the Department of Education, writes an opinion piece in La Presse +, where she is critical of the Nike 'Pro Hijab', marketed by Nike for women Muslim athletes. While recognizing that some see the 'Pro Hijab' as inclusive, Naffi views the sport garment as having the opposite effect and intensifying the Western exclusion of Muslim women, particularly those who choose to wear the hijab.
  • The Montreal Gazette and the Gazette e-edition (reprised by ReportCA.net and You-blog.club) report that The Link, publishing a paper edition weekly or semi-weekly since 1980, will cease to publishing on paper and  concentrate on its online edition, while also publishing a monthly magazine.
  • CBC.ca (reprised by My Informs) features Concordia student Talia Charness in a piece about the growing trend of self-care, focused on balancing an individual's physical and emotional well-being.
  • Iask.ca, writing (in Chinese) about a recent hackathon hosted by Radio Canada, mentions the participation in the event of two Concordia engineering students, identified only as "Patrick and Alessandro."
