  • William Bukowski, psychology professor in the Faculty of Arts and Science, pronounces himself on the perceived stereotype of all-girls schools being hotbeds for lesbian encounters in an article that references Bukowski's 2013 study of gender identity in single-sex schools: Broadly (Vice).
  • Monika Gagnon, professor of communication studies in the Faculty of Arts and Science, was a guest on CBC Radio Noon yesterday for a special on Expo 67. She is first heard at the 4:30 mark. Gagnon spoke about the upcoming exhibition at the Musée d'art contemporain de Montréal, "In Search of Expo 67", which opens June 21. The exhibition is co-curated by Gagnon, who is co-director of the CinemaExpo67 research team at Concordia. Ten artists participating in the exhibit have connections to the Faculty of Fine Arts. Gagnon also discussed an eight-part Thinking Out Loud (TOL) podcast mini-series about Expo 67 that launched on Wednesday, where she speaks with many of the artists for whom the fair was a creative springboard. New episodes in the Expo series will be released on Wednesdays.
