- The family of Concordia engineering master's student Bissan Eid has published a news release on CNWannouncing that Eid, who is eight months pregnant, will have her baby in Gaza, where she remains despite months of efforts to obtain an exit permit from Israel. The family, which had urged the Canadian government to intervene on behalf of Eid, a Canadian citizen, says it is now too late in Eid's pregnancy for her to travel safely. The release is picked up by Le Lézard and the development is reported by Radio Canada International (in Spanish).
