Students

Current students at Concordia do outstanding academic work and get involved in community projects that improve our quality of life. See what they've been up to:

  • Concordia's Women in Engineering student group is featured in a piece on CBC.ca, focusing on the group's efforts, through visits to CEGEPs and high schools, to alert younger women to possible careers in engineering. Women in Engineering co-presidents Karina Bagryan and Fariha Kamal are quoted and pictured, as is Anjali Agarwal, associate chair of and professor in the Department Electrical and Computer Engineering.
  • Concordia students Aouatif Zebiri and Abdullah El-Safadi, interviewed on the CBC news network, describe what they felt as a result of the Concordia bomb threat; translation studies student Desirée Gallant is featured in an article in the Charlottetown Guardian, where she expresses misgivings about returning to her studies at Concordia in the wake of the bomb scare.
  • The McGill Tribune features the Concordia Write Nights — a student-founded group that organizes writing workshops and other events in off-campus venues. It mentions that the group was started by the Students’ Association for Graduates in English (SAGE) at Concordia, in 2015.
