• Northern Ontario Business announces that Steven High will give a talk at Nipissing University in North Bay, April 3. His subject will be the oral history of the closure of the Sturgeon Falls paper mill. The release mentions two of High's books: Industrial Sunset: the Making of North America’s Rust Belt (University of Toronto Press, 2003), and Corporate Wasteland: The Landscape and Memory of Deindustrialization (Cornell University Press, 2007).
• Télévision française de l'Ontario publishes a piece about a conference on francophone immigration, hosted in Moncton by the Fédération des communautés francophones et acadienne du Canada. It quotes conference participant Chedly Belkhodja, principal of and professor in Concordia's School of Community and Public Affairs.
• Chantal Maillé, professor of women's studies in the Simone de Beauvoir Institute, in the Faculty of Arts and Science, is member of a panel of experts on the Radio Canada program, 'Plus on est de fous, plus on lit!', discussing academic and other intellectual currents in different fields of study, including feminism, identity and colonialism.
