Expert commentators
Concordia faculty and researchers are regularly asked to offer expert, informed opinions on many of today's most pressing problems. Read some of the latest news items about Concordians:
- Stephanie Paterson and Francesca Scala, associate professors of public policy in the Department of Political Science of the Faculty of Arts and Science, co-author an opinion piece in the Montreal Gazette where they challenge the Trudeau government's assertion that the federal budget tabled last Wednesday was a gender-based, "female friendly" budget.
- Radio Canada posts a conference offered by Jean-Philippe Warren at the Musée de la civilisation de Québec, recorded on February 22. Warren talks about countercultures, starting with the "hippie" movement of the 1960's.
- The Loop reprises a CTV news report that includes a clip of Jennifer Drummond, coordinator of Concordia's Sexual Assault Resource Centre. The piece concerns the "Order an Angelot" campaign, which allows a female bar patron to discreetly indicate to bar personnel that she feels unsafe or has been assaulted. Drummond is seen at the 1:57-mark of the report.
