Students
Current students at Concordia do outstanding academic work and get involved in community projects that improve our quality of life. See what they've been up to:
- The Suburban features Stingers goaltender Antoine Salomon-Marchand, who the paper says recently purchased goaltending equipment and training aids for nine-year old Atom "C" hockey player Julia Benarroch. Salomon-Marchand payed for the gift with a $150 contribution from the Royal Bank's #Make150Count program to mark Canada's 150th anniversary this year.
- Alternet writes about the UTILE (Unité de travail pour l'implantation de logement étudiant) student housing cooperative. It notes that the CSU has provided funds for student housing projects spearheaded by UTILE.
- Global News Morning in Montreal reports that a group of Concordia students will serve as judges at a creative writing competition for elementary and high school students at the English Montreal School Board and Lester B. Pearson School Board. The text version of the story is picked up by ReportCA.net.
