Expert commentators
Concordia faculty and researchers are regularly asked to offer expert, informed opinions on many of today's most pressing problems. Read some of the latest news items about Concordians:
- Jennifer Drummond, coordinator of Concordia's Sexual Assault Resource Centre, appears in a CTV Montreal news report (with accompanying text version) about the "Order an Angelot" campaign, which allows a female bar patron to discreetly indicate to bar personnel that she feels unsafe or has been assaulted. The campaign is being promoted at numerous bars in Quebec, including those on university campuses and at bars known to cater to students. Drummond is seen at the 1:37-mark of the report.
- Fakta (in Indonesian) quotes Janis Timm-Bottos, associate professor of art therapy in the Faculty of Fine Arts, about the therapeutic value of colouring books for adults who are experiencing anxiety. The piece references an earlier interview with Timm-Bottos in Best Health Magazine.
- La Frontière reports that Stingers men's hockey head coach Marc-André Élément has been named OUA (Ontario University Athletics) coach of the year.
