• World Health picks up news of two Concordia studies of genes that affect ageing by slowing or accelerating the mechanisms that limit lifespan. Vladimir Titorenko, professor of biology in the Faculty of Arts and Science and Concordia Research Chair in Genomics, Cell Biology and Aging, led the studies with a group of fellow researchers.
• All About Circuits reports on the creation by two Concordians of Hypnoguard — a home computer security system that protects data on computers in sleep mode. The Hypnoguard system was developed by PhD candidate Lianying Zhao, working with Mohammad Mannan, associate professor in the Concordia Institute for Information Systems Engineering.
• CBC airs an in-depth report featuring the work of Jim Pfaus on the study of sexuality in rats, to further our knowledge of human sexuality. The report aired last Sunday evening (no link available).
• Skawennati Fragnito, coordinator of Concordia's Milieux Indigenous Futures research cluster and co-director ofAboriginal Territories in Cyberspace (AbTeC), is featured in the Espaces Autochtones section of Radio-Canada.ca. Skawennati describes her work at AbTeC with co-director Jason Edward Lewis, professor of computation arts in the Faculty of Arts and Science.
• Unidivers writes about a show of the work of several artists, including Caroline Lindsay Hart, part-time faculty in the Department of Studio Arts and Concordia alumna (BFA).
• Lien Multimédia features artist Ayam Yaldo (BFA).
