  • Les affaires picks up news of a Concordia study of the food truck revival in Montreal, led by Alan Nash, geography professor in the Faculty of Arts and Science. The study is found in an essay, "Breach, Bridgehead, or Trojan Horse? An Exploration of the Role of Food Trucks in Montreal’s Changing Foodscape", published in the book, Food Trucks, Cultural Identity and Social Justice (MIT Press, 2017).
  • A 2013 study of the niqab in Canada, led by Lynda Clarke, professor in and interim chair of the Department of Religions and Cultures in the Faculty of Arts and Science, is referenced in an opinion piece in the Calgary Herald(reprised in The Province). Clarke found that a majority of the Muslim women she spoke with who wore the niqab reported that they did so out of personal conviction and not because they were made to. Note that the opinion author mistakenly calls Clarke "Lynne".
