- The University of Toronto engineering department reports that Vincent Martin, biology professor in the Faculty of Arts and Science and Concordia University Research Chair in Microbial Engineering and Synthetic Biology, is collaborating on research into the use of new yeast strains to turn plant waste into fabric.
