Concordia faculty and researchers are regularly asked to offer expert, informed opinions on many of today's most pressing problems. Read some of the latest news items about Concordians:
- CBC.ca (reprised by Yahoo! News and My Informs) offers a linguistic analysis of yesterday's French-language debate in the Conservative Party leadership race. CBC struck a three-member panel of experts that included Judith Woodsworth, professor in the Department of French Studies, Faculty of Arts and Science. The text story includes a chart showing the letter grade the panelists assigned each candidate for their facility with the French language.
- América Retail picks up an earlier story from The Globe and Mail about redevelopment in Toronto's fashion district. It quotes Norma Rantisi, professor of geography, planning and environment in the Faculty of Arts and Science, about the threat of gentrification in the area.
