Expert commentators

Concordia faculty and researchers are regularly asked to offer expert, informed opinions on many of today's most pressing problems. Read some of the latest news items about Concordians:

  • La Presse + runs an opinion piece by Sandra Chang-Kredl, assistant professor of education in the Faculty of Arts and Science, about the latest Christmas toy craze: an electronic bird-like creature called the Hatchimal. Chang-Kredl reflects on the stress felt by parents who desperately scour toy store shelves for the toy. The opinion piece first appeared in last Thursday's Montreal Gazette and is reprised by Canada.com.
  • Kyle Matthews, senior deputy director of the Montreal Institute for Genocide and Human Rights Studies at Concordia commented on the situation in Syria in an interview this morning on CBC Montreal's Daybreak (no link available).
  • Yesim Bayar, assistant professor of sociology and anthropology in the Faculty of Arts and Science, writes an opinion piece in South-South News, calling for a stronger international response to rising authoritarianism in Turkey.
