• There is continuing coverage of work led by Mohammad Mannan, associate professor in the Concordia Institute for Information Systems Engineering, and PhD candidate Lianying Zhao on development of the Hypnoguard home computer security system. The new software protects data even when a computer is in sleep mode: Gizmodo India (reprised by PC Mag), The Hindu, Science Magazine and ACM Tech News. 
• Maclean's, writing about wearable technology, refers to what it terms "the pioneering efforts" of Concordia's Joanna Berzowska in the area of clothing-based technology It quotes Berzowska, associate professor in the Department of Design and Computation Arts and member of the Milieux Textile and Materiality research cluster. Berzowska is also head of electronic textiles operations at OMsignal.
