Computer Security Day

Wednesday, November 30 is Computer Security Day and in the age of WikiLeaks, Russian hacks and increased government surveillance, many computer users are feeling increasingly worried about how best to protect their personal information — even if they aren’t guarding state secrets. New software, called Hypnoguard, was developed by Concordia researchers to safeguard data even when a computer is in sleep mode. One of the developers, Mohammad Mannan, an associate professor with the Concordia Institute for Information Systems Engineering, can discuss the advantages of Hypnoguard and the importance of protecting your data even in sleep mode.
