Various issues concerning Concordia University are often reported on by news outlets. Here is the most recent coverage pertaining to the institution:

  • A CNW news release describes the different strategic partnership agreements signed during last week's Montreal trade mission to Israel and the West Bank, led by mayor Denis Coderre and including representatives from Concordia. It notes that Concordia signed study and research exchange and cooperation agreements with Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Tel Aviv University and Ben-Gurion University. The release is picked up by Money News, Le Lézard, Hospitality Industry, Edmonton Journal and The Province.
  • Direction informatique publishes an earlier release from Polytechnique announcing the inauguration of the  'Laboratoire d'enseignement des systèmes intégrés en aérospatiale du Québec'. The new Quebec laboratory for integrated aerospace systems, which includes a test platform for the Bombardier Challenger 300, is open to both Polytechnique and Concordia students.
  • The International Campaign for Human Rights in Iran publishes a piece in which it calls for an end to the practice, by Iran's Revolutionary Guard, of arresting dual nationals and using them as hostages to extract various concessions. It mentions Iran's release, in September, of professor emerita Homa Hoodfar. The release of Hoodfar is referenced also in an article in The Jerusalem Post  about the continued imprisonment in Iran's Evin prison of British-Iranian humanitarian worker Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe, currently serving a five-year jail term in connection with anti-regime protests in 2009.
