Various issues concerning Concordia University are often reported on by news outlets. Here is the most recent coverage pertaining to the institution:
- Le Devoir interviews Anne-Marie Croteau, associate dean of and professor of business technology in the John Molson School of Business, who explains recent changes to the MBA program in the JMSB, including paring down the program to 45 credits from 57. Croteau notes that much course content also has been revised to more closely reflect current realities in the business world.
- Le Journal de Montréal mentions today's announcement of a $9,000 bursary from the estate of Georges Jorisch that, each year, will allow one Concordia fine arts student to study in Salzburg. The bursary announcement is being made on the same day as the scheduled broadcast by Télé-Québec of the documentary 'L'Héritier', by Jorisch's granddaughter, Edith. The film chronicles efforts by the elder Jorisch to recover two pieces of art that belonged to his family, until looted by the Nazis.
- AMEQ en Ligne (behind a paywall) and Lien Multimédia post a release from Polytechnique Montréal announcing the inauguration of a new Quebec laboratory for integrated aerospace systems: 'Laboratoire d'enseignement des systèmes intégrés en aérospatiale du Québec/Quebec laboratory for integrated aerospace systems teaching', open to both Polytechnique and Concordia students.

The paper mentions some of the museum's outreach projects, including art therapy and education programs offered in collaboration with Concordia.
- Religion Dispatches publishes what it explains is a lightly edited version of a talk by Homa Hoodfar at the recent annual meeting of the American Anthropological Association, in Minneapolis. The article includes a link to an interview of Hoodfar in The Guardian, on October 10; the husband of British-Iranian humanitarian worker Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe, currently serving a five-year jail term in Iran in connection with anti-regime protests in 2009, cites the example of Canada's successful intervention in obtaining the release of Homa Hoodfar. The article appears in The Times of Israel; Hoodfar's release is referenced also in an OpenCanada.org article about journalist and former Egyptian prisoner Mohamed Fahmy's recently-drafted proposal to reform Canada’s consular laws and practices for dealing with Canadians imprisoned or detained abroad.
- Anotao reprises sponsored content from the Montreal Gazette about students making the successful transition from school to career. The piece focuses on the experiences of two recent graduates from the John Molson School of Business: Jesse Carmichael (BComm, finance and marketing, '16), and Jason Azzoparde (B.Sc., actuarial mathematics/finance, Great Distinction, '16).
- Jura Forum picks up a release announcing the establishment of a new Research Training Group (RTG) at Goethe University Frankfurt, focusing on film studies. It mentions that the RTG cooperates with the film studies programs at Concordia and Yale.
