Facebook battles fake news
Facebook employees have formed an unofficial task force to question the role the company played in promoting fake news in the lead-up to Donald Trump's victory. Fenwick McKelvey, assistant professor in the Department of Communication Studies in the Faculty of Arts and Science, can weigh in on whether or not social media platforms should be removing fake news from their sites. He can also discuss what's getting recommended to Facebook users and what it mean for Canada.
