Transgender Awareness Week

November 14 - 20 is Transgender Awareness Week, which culminates in Transgender Day of Remembrace on November 20. The objective is to raise the visibility of transgender and gender non-conforming people and address the issues they face. Kimberley Manning, Principal in the Simone de Beauvoir Institute, conducts research on gender creativity in children. Gilbert Émond, associate professor in the Department of Applied Human Sciences in the Faculty of Arts and Science, can talk about the difficulties encountered by transgender youth.
