  • There is coverage in several media of a new study from the International Laboratory for Brain, Music and Sound Research that describes how dance and music training each have a powerful, but different effect on the brain. The senior and lead authors of the study, published in NeuroImage, are Virginia Penhune, chair of psychology in the Faculty of Arts and Science, and PhD candidate Chiara Giacosa: Science Direct, Science Daily, Qui Fait Quoi, AMEQ en ligne (behind a paywall), and Newswise. The study was discussed on the Radio Canada Première Chaîne program 'Les éclaireurs' (beginning at the 2:35-mark, with Concordia mentioned at the 3:30-mark), as well as on CJAD Radio's regular health segment, this morning (no link available).
