Trudeau signs CETA

On Sunday, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau signed the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) with the European Union (EU). Once ratified by the European Parliament, CETA will remove 99 per cent of customs duties between Canada and the EU. Political scientist Axel Huelsemeyer in the Faculty of Arts and Science sat on the negotiating team for the European Trade Commissioner and can talk about how the CETA agreement will impact Canada's economy.
