Various issues concerning Concordia University are often reported on by news outlets. Here is the most recent coverage pertaining to the institution:
- La Presse + publishes an article in which it names as "personalities of the week" all those who were involved in helping secure the release of Homa Hoodfar. The piece includes a picture of some of those personalities: Concordia Faculty of Arts and Science professors Kimberley Manning, Marc Lafrance and Geneviève Rail, Concordia media relations advisor Nadia Kherif and Hoodfar family spokesperson Amanda Ghahremani. Manning, Lafrance, Rail and Ghahremani are also quoted, as is Mona Tajali, who completed her PhD under Hoodfar's supervision.
- A number of media pick up the story of Hoodfar's return to Montreal: Breakfast Television Montreal posts a report on Hoodfar's arrival and airport press conference (with Françoise Naudillon, associate professor of French studies in the Faculty of Arts and Science, and Marc Lafrance, associate professor of anthropology in the same faculty, speaking on camera); Junior College, CDN poli (reprising last Friday's La Presse+article), TadimlikTV.com (in Turkish, with text and raw video of the airport arrival and news conference), Gananoque Chamber of Commerce.
- In related coverage: Global Voices reports that, while Hoodfar may have been released after being accused of "dabbling in feminism" in Iran, that country continues its crackdown on women's rights activists; Hoodfar's release is mentioned in a Radio-Canada.ca article, reprised by MSN actualités, about the case of Saudi blogger Raif Badawi, held in Saudi Arabia since 2012; Mario Dumont, blogging for Le Journal de Montréal and Le Journal de Québec about Hoodfar's release, also mentions Badawi's internment; The Kingston Whig-Standard mentions Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's personal role in Hoodfar's release in an opinion column about Trudeau's international notoriety; iPolitics, writing about recent Canadian victories in the diplomatic arena, mentions Hoodfar's new-found freedom; Hoodfar's release is referenced also in a piece in The McGill International Review about relations between Canada and Iran.

- Journal Métro mentions that Concordia is a partner with the Instituts aérospatiaux de Montréal.
