• Coverage appears in several media of new Concordia research into cellular variations in yeast that could lead to the development of a new generation of anti-fungal drugs. The research was led by Malcolm Whiteway, biology professor in the Faculty of Arts and Science and Canada Research Chair in Microbial Genomics at Concordia, with collaboration from Concordia PhD candidate Walters Tebung: Science Daily, Science Newsline, Phys.org and Newswise.
• Psychology PhD student Chiara Giacosa is quoted in an article in Agence Science-Presse about a new study from the International Laboratory for Brain, Music and Sound Research of the different effects of dance and music training on brain development. Chiara and Virginia Penhune, chair of psychology in the Faculty of Arts and Science, were respectively lead and senior authors of the study, published in NeuroImage.
• Research Gate picks up news of new research, led Wayne Brake, psychology professor in the Faculty of Arts and Science, on memory in women and how it is affected by hormonal changes.
