Expert commentators
Concordia faculty and researchers are regularly asked to offer expert, informed opinions on many of today's most pressing problems. Read some of the latest news items about Concordians:
- Gabrielle Bouchard, Peer Support and Trans Advocacy Coordinator at Concordia's Centre for Gender Advocacy, is quoted in an article in Vice about how chartered banks in Canada make it difficult for transgender customers to conduct their business.
- Le Journal de Montréal e-edition picks up an earlier story quoting Vivek Venkatesh, associate professor in the Department of Education, who says that while anglophone Quebecers, proportionately, may be more successful than their francophone counterparts in obtaining their high school diplomas, their overall scores in school aren't necessarily higher.
- Profession Santé (behind a registration wall) runs an opinion piece, reprised and translated from The Toronto Star, written by Kathleen O'Grady, research associate in the Simone de Beauvoir Institute. O'Grady reflects on the importance of including autistic children in their schools and in the community beyond.
