- Le Scienze (in Italian) picks up coverage of a study conducted jointly by Jochen Jaeger, associate professor in the Department of Geography, Planning and Environment, and Spain's national museum of natural sciences, looking at how animals are impacted by the encroachment on the natural environment of road and other infrastructure. An earlier English-language report on the research can be read here. The paper was published in Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.
- Dario Del Web (in Italian) references Concordia research into the beneficial impact on brain development in children of musical study at a young age. The 2013 study was led by Virginia Penhune, professor in and chair of the Department of Psychology.
