Expert commentators

Concordia faculty and researchers are regularly asked to offer expert, informed opinions on many of today's most pressing problems. Read some of the latest news items about Concordians:

  • Matthew Hays, lecturer in the departments of Cinema and Communication Studies, writes in Rabble about the discussion, notably on social media, of last weekend's Pride parade in Toronto, which saw a sit-in by members of Black Lives Matter who voiced grievances against parade organizers and others.
  • LaPresse.ca quotes Michael Magnan, accountancy professor and Stephen A. Jarislowsky Chair in Corporate Governance, and two other experts who were asked to examine Quebecor's recent financial statements, with a focus on the media company's attempts to bring an NHL hockey team back to Quebec City.
  • The Mississauga News runs an opinion piece, reprised from The Toronto Star, by Kathleen O'Grady, research associate in the Simone de Beauvoir Institute. O'Grady reflects on the importance of including autistic children in their school communities and beyond.
