Expert commentators
Concordia faculty and researchers are regularly asked to offer expert, informed opinions on many of today's most pressing problems. Read some of the latest news items about Concordians:
- Kyle Matthews, Senior Deputy Director of the Montreal Institute for Genocide and Human Rights Studies at Concordia, writes an opinion piece in La Presse + about the Istanbul airport terror attack and about the conflict in Suyria, which Matthews says is destabilizing Turkey.
- Karl Hele, associate professor in and director of the First Peoples Studies program in the School of Community and Public Affairs, is quoted in a TV, eh? review of a recent Working It Out Together documentary about indigenous food and nutrition.
- Quartier Latin Paris previews the documentary film Autour de Maïr, which tells the story of feminist scholar Maïr Verthuy, cofounder and first director of the Simone de Beauvoir Institute. A clip from the film is included.
